In the year 1804, London’s first gardening society was born. By 1860, the first garden centre opened, selling plants and seeds to eager gardeners. A hundred years later, across the sea, Dutch flower and tree growers launched garden centre chains, which flourished in the Netherlands. Now, in 2024, over 200 years later, we are at the place where gardening began. GardenCenterAdvice is privileged to attend the GardenCentreExpo 2024 in London. We hope to plant a seed for future cooperation.
