CAPI Europe

Capi Europe

Capi Europe designs and produces planters for indoor and outdoor. There is a planter for everyone, because of our different styles and textures. A part of our production takes place completely CO2 neutral in our own factory in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Besides their special design, our planters have a high quality. They are light weight – despite the robust exterior – and are weather resistant.

Planters for your home, your garden or your balcony. For every plant and every style. All planters have their own design and are available in various colours and shapes.

First flowerpot with CO2 Neutral® label

The Made in Holland flower pots from Capi Europe are produced in a 100% climate-neutral process. You can recognise them by the orange colour inside. Most importantly, they are also incredibly beautiful. They will really brighten up your interior, garden, balcony and terrace.

Each model from the Made in Holland collection has its very own characteristic texture. The pots have a robust look, but are actually extremely lightweight. That comes in very handy, of course. They are also extremely sustainable and have a very long lifespan: every flowerpot comes with a ten-year guarantee. The collection consists of more than twenty models in seven different colours.

The CO2 Neutral® label

The CO2 Neutral® label ensures that companies that are awarded this label actively assess, reduce and offset their local and global climate impact. Unlike ‘greenwashing’, this label can only be obtained as a result of serious, demonstrable environmental efforts. The label is awarded by the independent association Vinçotte.

Our CO2 Neutral certificate can be found here.

Project Zambia

For its climate compensation, Capi Europe is participating in the COMACO Landscape Management Project, which promotes sustainable agriculture and forest conservation in Zambia. The most important objectives for the project are to reduce uncontrolled deforestation and to increase the net forest cover. This project contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations below.

History

Capi Europe products must be honest and grow with the customer, just like our company. In 1997, Toine van de Ven started a one-man business in Udenhout, in the Dutch province of Brabant. He set to work with enormous pleasure, producing his concrete statues and ornaments. It was a big step from tiny Udenhout to the enormous Asia. His enterprising character quickly allowed Toine to import heavy terrazzo from Vietnam. And he never let his customers lift the heavy products themselves.

Optimistic people have the courage to think ahead. Toine translated the look and feel of his heavy flower pots into lightweight versions with various textures. With his service, honesty and innovation, Toine was able to make Capi into one of the most original European companies in flower pots. Progress is embedded in the genes of Capi Europe. And now too we remain future driven, thinking and working in an innovative way, but always based on our long experience. Our story, and that of Toine, has only just started.
