Revitalization Garden Center De Boet, Hoogwoud (the Netherlands) 2014
In 2014, De Boet garden center was completely renovated, both inside and outside. The metamorphosis that this garden center has undergone is immediately evident.
The bright green façade designed in a traditional Dutch style, red roof tiles and contemporary entrance make for a most welcoming look. The two appealing verandas with room for shopping carts and bicycles next to the entrance, add a satisfying finishing touch to the whole. From the outside De Boet now exudes the same cosy atmosphere that it has always had on the inside.
The new entrance is equipped with all conceivable amenities. The shopping carts are lined up in a sheltered area, visitors can’t overlook the elegant information desk, and additional toilets have been installed.
The entrance provides direct access to the new florist, Bloemenboet, so shoppers who only want to buy flowers or a gift voucher no longer have to walk through the whole garden center. Very convenient for visitors with little time to spare.
At the site of the former DIY store a new building with an additional upper floor has been built. Thanks to the many skylights and the large centrally situated atrium, both floors are bathing in light. In all this light the furniture, home-furnishing and decorative articles look much better than in the old situation. Two additional stairways and a modern glass elevator provide access to the retail floor, where garden furniture is on display all year round. The contemporary home-furnishing store on the upper floor is now purer and more fun, featuring many new trendy furniture and home-furnishing accessories.
