New construction Jardinerie Tarnaise Fonlabour, Albi (France)
In collaboration with the French architectural firm Cabrol Architectes, Breddels Architecten designed the new garden center Jardinerie Tarnaise Fonlabour.
The project includes the construction of a garden center with a closed sales area and entrance hall, an open-air flower and plant sale, an outdoor nursery and a large parking lot for visitors.
As the name suggests, the Jardinerie Tarnaise is primarily a garden center and the identity of a garden center could not be better expressed than through a greenhouse architecture. The new garden center has a floor area of approximately 5,140 m². The front facade is clad with wooden facade parts in a wavy pattern with a glass facade above it for plenty of natural light. The roof protrudes considerably at the front so that a dry run is created.
Jardinerie Tarnaise, specialist in gardening, animals and interior decoration, has an enormously wide range and even a real bird dome. The building also houses a quality brasserie 'Au Jardin' with its own entrance in the front. They prepare dishes with fresh and local products, artisan pizzas and self-service. 'Le Chalet Aux Fruits' is also located in the building with fresh regional products, vegetables and fruit.
