New build Intratuin, Hilversum (the Netherlands) 2002
The garden center on the "Kromme Rade" exists for over 20 years. The garden center was started in an old greenhouse horticulture. The garden center, 700 square meters, was trying to sell all items of a really big garden center. Soon became the sales and retail space too small and in 1989 and 1992 there expanded with a modern greenhouse. In 1990 the name garden center Hilversum changed in Intratuin Hilversum.
More and more customers knew the way to Intratuin Hilversum.
From 1994 until the planning permission and construction in 2001 Garden Center Advice had to fight to the renovation plans at this location to be realized. The venue is located on the outskirts of a nature reserve. To facilitate the transition from hard to soft, Bradley & Rich designed a brick wall of sloping design which also conceals the location of the stockroom.
In 2000-2001, the whole garden center with parking was renovated and enlarged. After this, the presentations of all items was made better and shopping was more comfortable. Meanwhile there is a team of 75 people to advise customers on their purchases.
