House Kennemerstraatweg
15 FEB 2019
In Heiloo, on a spacious plot within walking distance of the Heilooërbos, hard work is being done on the realization of a contemporary home.
The clients wanted to position the house parallel to the Kennemerstraatweg so that a spacious enclosed garden was created behind the house. Due to the large glass areas at the rear, the garden can be experienced from different rooms in the house.
Characteristic of this house are the use of beautiful natural materials for the facades and the roof, which consist of natural stone and slates. At right angles to the facade is a transverse roof which is also fitted with slates. This gives the roof a cross shape that extends to ground level.
The same materials and detailing will be consistently implemented in the storage room that has yet to be realized. The same natural stone as in the facade is used in the hearth element and the chimney.
On the ground floor, in addition to the spacious kitchen, a utility room, master bedroom with walk-in closet and a luxurious bathroom.
On the first floor, open office workplaces with a view of the loft have been created and there are two extra bedrooms, a storage room, toilet and bathroom.
