First pile apartment building De Bever
27 JUNE 2017
Monday, June 26, 2017, the official 1st pile was driven by alderman Gido Oude Kotte for
De Bever on the J. Duikerweg in Heerhugowaard.
The developer and investor of the beautifully situated and designed project is Segesta Groep from Alkmaar. The design is by Breddels Architecten in Heerhugowaard and the realization is in the hands of Scholtens Groep.
The apartment building is located at the rear of the MediaMarkt and can really be called an eye-catcher. The building stands half in the water and consists of a masonry framework in which 78 apartments are housed over seven floors. The undulating balconies and privacy screens that are made of concrete are striking.
Not only is the architecture of high quality, the finishing level also leaves little to be desired. The Segesta Group invests in the long term, goes for quality and also has great ambitions in the field of sustainability. For example, 174 solar panels will be installed on the roof of De Bever, resulting in a very energy-efficient building.
The program consists of 60 social and 18 private sector rental apartments with 3 or 4 rooms and a private storage room. The future residents can park their car on the parking deck of the MediaMarkt. The parking deck is connected to the residential building by a footbridge.
De Bever is expected to be completed in mid-2018.
