Beach hotel Zoomers almost ready
13 JAN 2020
Strandhotel Zoomers in Castricum aan Zee will open its doors on January 25, 2020.
The design by Breddels Architecten dates from 2010 and was realized in collaboration with architect Petra Kramer. The new beach hotel follows the footprint of the former beach shop 'Strand 10', which was demolished in mid-November 2018.
The hotel is built energy neutral with natural and sustainable materials and systems.
The hotel is heated by means of a pellet stove and energy is generated by means of 280 solar panels (for the hotel and beach pavilion). This achieves an EPC value of zero.
The beach hotel consists of a total of 12 rooms, 4 rooms on the ground floor and 8 on the first floor, each with a balcony. HKliving and The Other Season have been involved in the design and styling of the hotel.
The Strandwinkel is located on the ground floor of the Strandhotel. Work is still underway on the Strandwinkel in order to be able to open before the high season.
Guests staying overnight at Strandhotel Zoomers can have breakfast and dinner at the adjacent Zoomers Beach Pavilion, also owned by the same owners.
